Both games went down to an exciting final pitch but the results were similarly disappointing as the Falcons fell 6-5 and 9-7 to host Marian on Saturday, ending their 2008 season with 10 straight losses and an overall 18-19 record.
Falcon starter Trent Duckett took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the eighth inning of the opener but a pair of infield errors allowed two unearned runs to tie the contest.
Each team managed a solo tally in the ninth before reliever Dustin Lackas surrendered the Sabres' game-winner in the 11th. Matt Schilter had three of Concordia's 12 hits while both Andy Becker and Dan Shea hit home runs for CUW.
