MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University senior Megan Granger (Park Ridge, Illinois) has been named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger / NFCA Division III Great Lakes All-Region Second Team. Megan Granger is the first player in Concordia University School history to be named to the NFCA All-District team.
Megan was a starter at the DP slot and a 4 year letter winner her at CUW. “Megan was a tremendous power hitter with a very good approach at the plate. She was also a committed person who always put the team first,” cited Coach Crook. Megan graduated with a degree in Social Work and will attend Dominican University (IL) to earn a Masters of Science in Social Work this coming fall.
Granger along with seven other student-athletes from the Northern Athletics Conference were selected as part of the 45-member, three team (First, Second, Third) selections. Twenty-four out of the 45 student-athletes that comprised the First, Second and Third teams were selected strictly by position. The remaining 21 selections were at-large choices.

CUW senior shortstop Ashley Fyock (Mequon) was a 1st team NAC Coaches' all conference selection for 2008. Fyock hit a robust .402 for the Falcons, leading the team in most offensive categories. She scored 36 runs and was successful on 13 of 14 steal attempts.
Teammate Jenna DiMaggio (San Diego, CA) earned NAC second team honors. The talented sophomore hit .343 and compiled an 8-9 record on the mound for Steve Crook's team.
